Planning and Logistics Officer
Job Description
- Coordinate and manage the overall planning and logistics operations of the company.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as production, sales, and procurement to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and carriers to ensure favorable terms and timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize software systems to track inventory, manage orders, and streamline logistics processes.
- Resolve logistics-related issues and proactively address any disruptions to the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and procurement activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in logistics and transportation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
